सर्वाणीन्द्रियकर्माणि प्राणकर्माणि चापरे | आत्मसंयमयोगाग्नौ जुह्वति ज्ञानदीपिते ||४-२७||
sarvāṇīndriyakarmāṇi prāṇakarmāṇi cāpare . ātmasaṃyamayogāgnau juhvati jñānadīpite ||4-27||
English Meaning
English Meaning
Others again sacrifice all the functions of the senses and those of the breath (vital energy or Prana) in the fire of the Yoga of self-restraint kindled by knowledge.
Hindi Meaning
दूसरे (योगीजन) सम्पूर्ण इन्द्रियों के तथा प्राणों के कर्मों को ज्ञान से प्रकाशित आत्मसंयमयोगरूप अग्नि में हवन करते हैं।।
Russian Meaning
Другие снова жертвуют всеми функциями чувств и дыхания (жизненной энергии или Праны) огню Йоги самоограничения, зажженному знанием.
Spanish Meaning
Otros sacrifican nuevamente todas las funciones de los sentidos y las de la respiración (energía vital o Prana) en el fuego del Yoga del autocontrol encendido por el conocimiento.
Commentary
Just as a lamp is kindled by oil? so also the fire of the Yoga of selfcontrol is kindled by knowledge. When the Yogi concentrates or fixes his mind on Brahman or the Self? the senses and the breath cease to function. The senses and the breath are absorbed into their cause.
