pavanaḥ pavatāmasmi rāmaḥ śastrabhṛtāmaham . jhaṣāṇāṃ makaraścāsmi srotasāmasmi jāhnavī ||10-31||

Entre los purificadores (o los deslizadores) yo soy el viento; Rama entre los guerreros soy yo; entre los peces soy el tiburón; entre los arroyos yo soy el Ganges.
Comentario
The holy river Ganga (spelt Ganges in English) was swallowed by Jahnu when she was being brought down by Bhagiratha from heaven. Hence the name Jahnavi for Ganga.
